This home is absolutely everything it says it is, and more! The main floor layout is very conducive to large groups and conversations - the kitchen, dining, living and family room are all one big room. The dining table easily seats 10. There are lots of chairs and couches, everything you need to enjoy a nice fire in the wood-burning fireplace (wood supplied as well). The bedrooms are nice sized and the beds are comfortable. Be sure to take advantage of the jacuzzi tub in the master and enjoy the serene view. There are many books, games and movies provided. The walk from the backyard over the hill to the beach is definitely worth the trip. Keep a look out for the mama deer and her babies on the ridge in the mornings and early evenings. A perfectly relaxing environment!

I have stayed at this home on Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City many times. It is a beautiful home in a gorgeous area at the coast. The house is true to the listing description. It is immaculately kept, with all the comforts of home and then some...free internet, books, magazines, in and outside fireplaces, large, flat screen TV with cable and surround sound, a closet full of movies to watch, jacuzzi tub, bumper pool table, basketball hoop, and more. It is also close to the action of Pacific City with lots of restaurants, shops, and art galleries. The north side of the beach near the sand dune has a tide pool with lots of sea creatures to see nestled among the rocks in low tide. The fisherman go in and out from the beach as well, and offer deep sea fishing tours. There are generally a few surfers, boogie boarders, and kite flyers, and I have actually watched hang gliders from the deck in the backyard. We were greeted upon our arrival this time by two deer poking around the yard. For nature lovers there is food supplied to feed the local birds and squirrels. I can highly recommend this property without hesitation. If you love the coast, this is the place to be!

The Cape House is beautiful, quiet, roomy, very comfortable, and fully equipped. Great to be inside during storms, or out on the decks or patio by the fireplace in nice beach weather. From the kitchen you can even watch hang gliders take off from the dunes. A fun path through State Park forest to the Cape Kiwanda dunes or the beach is right out the back door. Beautiful and peaceful inside and outside.

The Cape House is a great escape!  We found there was tons of room, everything was clean and comfortable, and there was lots to do.  We walked down a wooded trail and climbed up the back side of a sand dune and we were right at Cape Kiwanda.  We ran along the beach and watched a couple of Para sailors riding the updrafts on the cape.  One night we walked down to the Pelican Pub for good food and brews, and then came back and sat around the fire on the outdoor patio.  There are fabulous views of the cape and the ocean from the kitchen, the first floor deck and especially from the upstairs deck.  All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend the Cape House.

It's my favorite place for a little rest and relaxation. A beautiful house, a quiet beach, close to town, outside fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just enjoying the evening.

Great place to enjoy the "Cape." Just a short hike through the state park to picnic or play on the dunes or a short walk down the highway to Pacific City for restaurants and specialty shops.  Or stay at home and enjoy the views from inside the house or outside on the expansive decks that look over the ocean.

My wife and I have stayed with another couple at the Cape House several times and I don't believe you can beat it!  Close to a beach town with some great eats....a view of the ocean and fantastic trails that lead to 2 different beaches - one so secluded that you are surprised that it's there when you break out of the forest onto the beach. I give it a "10."
